About NGO

“For the Present and Future” is a non-governmental, apolitical association, whose humanitarian purpose is to stop the AIDS epidemic through the development of educational programs, information and promotion of social services for persons affected by HIV\AIDS and Drugs. The association was founded in 2009, the funder members are people of different ages and professions who activated in the Prevention HIV/AIDS field within „ARS SIDA” NGO from 2003. At the moment, the association is supported financially by The Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (via Soros Moldova Foundation). ”For the Present & Future” NGO began collaboration with “Carlux” NGO within the “Social support for TB patients during the treatment” project.  From 2011 was launched “Enhancing the role of the patient and the community in TB control in Chisinau” project within”FPF” association.

Purpose

The main purpose of the Association is to develop projects of public healthcare, prevention of diseases related to sexually means, HIV/AIDS, and Tuberculosis which will contribute to improving the quality of people’s life coming from disadvantaged groups, with increased risk of infection.  

The values we believe in are:

  • Respect for the beneficiary;
  • Confidentiality of the information regarding our beneficiary;
  • The fight against discriminatory practices.

The target groups of the NGO are:

  • Injecting drug users;
  • HIV\AIDS Infected/affected Persons;
  • People with Tuberculosis;
  • Other vulnerable groups.

The mission of the association is: 

  • to inform and educate all categories of population on the danger caused by AIDS and Tuberculosis;
  • to promote supporting attitudes towards people already infected or diseased, defending their rights and interests;
  • to improve the collaboration between local public authorities and „FPF” NGO;
  • to provide the necessary social, moral and psychological services for people infected and their families.

The main activities of   „FPF” association  are:

  • Harm Reduction Activities supported by SOROS MOLDOVA FOUNDATION, The Global Fund to fight  AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria;
  • Prevention, identification and refering to Tuberculosis treatment the groups with high risk of contamination (HIV persons, IDU) supported by SOROS MOLDOVA FOUNDATION, The Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria;
  • Social assistance  for  HIV infected persons,beneficiaries of The Harm Risks Reduction (for example: social inclusion, to get a job, children spent summertime in campus ,workshops);
  • Organization of the 1 st December –World AIDS DAY , HIV/ AIDS Awareness Day in Chisinau
  • Training of the medical staff in HIV/AIDS prevention;
  • Promoting/implementation of educational and informational activities for community.
